We build focused tools and keep them focused. Some install into a platform you already run. Some stand on their own. We never see your data.
Whatever an app runs on, your data stays where you already keep it. Where the app plugs into a platform you operate, it installs into your own instance, stores what it needs there, and renders from that platform's own infrastructure. We are not in the path, so there is nothing of ours to go down, nothing of ours to breach, and nothing to put through a security review.
That is a constraint rather than a slogan, and it costs us things. A tool that cannot call out cannot read what it is not given, and we say so plainly on each product page rather than leaving it to be discovered. On Atlassian the approach is certified under Runs on Atlassian. Elsewhere it means the same thing without a name for it.

A Sentry alert fires and the Jira work item is already there, with the stack trace, the environment, the release and a link back to Sentry. You write the rules that decide which alerts qualify. It needs no Sentry plan upgrade, because it never calls Sentry.
